Expert Witness: We offer hourly, flat, or on occasion contingent fee rates to corporate consulting clients. Law Firms receive hourly rates only, but we keep detailed logs of the time we spend on your case. We bill in 15 minute increments and round down for short tasks like answering your phone calls. Work logs can be disclosed to all clients upon the closing of a case. We only work for as long as you specify so you will never be blind-sided by a huge bill. Final bills include costs for travel and third-party research tools, but admin and copy fees are based on actual amounts, not silly per-page fees. Partner rates range as low as $300 hr for research and in-office work up to $550 hr for in-court or out of office work. Remember, we are a consultancy, not a law firm. As such we bill like any other high end consulting firm, meaning in truth that we generally work three hours for each hour actually billed. We realize you have no way to verify this until you receive your first bill, however, we have never had a client take issue with the number of hours we have billed and can provide you confidential references. In the meantime you have our word that we bill honestly and keep a sensible clock. All final rates are subject to negotiation depending on scope and complexity.
